Our ABA Therapists

Jessica Lau, M.Ed., RBT

Jessica graduated from The University of Auckland in 2004 and joined P.L.A.I. Behaviour Consulting in 2016.  She has been serving the Education Sector in Hong Kong over 15 years, and she has a solid experience on providing learning support to students from early learners to teenagers and young adults with different backgrounds.

Jessica believes every child is unique and gifted in his/her own way. She is enthusiastic on helping children with special needs, that she attended child development courses and actively participates volunteering works on helping children from poor families, as well as those with learning difficulties. Jessica has completed her coursework in BCBA and is working towards her certification.

Samantha Fung, BSc in Psychology, RBT

​Samantha graduated from the University of Bath (United Kingdom) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has previously worked at summer camps for young children in Hong Kong. During her third year of university, she completed a research internship at a Developmental Studies Lab at Harvard University which focused on the conceptual development of young children and their understanding of the world around them. Through these opportunities, she has gained immense experience in developmental research, and her passion of working with children has strengthened, further inspiring her to pursue a career in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
 
Samantha joined P.L.A.I. in 2020 right after graduating from university. Her goal is to help children with special needs gain important skills in a fun and exciting way in order to develop into the best versions of themselves.

Henry Tsang, ​B.Sc. in Psychology, RBT

Henry graduated from the Open University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology. During his university years, Henry would often volunteer to assist various therapists and special preschool teachers in conducting training sessions for young aged children with special educational needs. Through his experiences, Henry would come to develop a deep interest and passion in working with children with special needs, thus inspiring him to pursue a career path in supporting children's learning and wellbeing. Henry joined P.L.A.I after graduating from the Open University of Hong Kong in 2021.

Nicole Wang, M.Ed., RBT

Nicole graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Master degree in Education in 2018. She is dedicated to community service where she previously volunteered in schools in Taiwan, rural China and Hong Kong as a Learning Support Teacher, Volunteer Teacher and Career and Life Education Facilitator respectively. After graduation, she has been working in the field of Education. Nicole taught Mandarin and later worked in an international school in Hong Kong. Before joining P.L.A.I., she worked as a Teaching Assistant to support Common Core course teaching and later a Research Assistant at the Reading and Learning Lab in the Faculty of Education of HKU. Her work experience to support students helped her discover her passion to serve school children and adolescents with special needs and further promote their welling academically, behaviorally, socially and emotionally.

Mira Wong, BSc in Humanities and Social Science, RBT

Mira graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor degree in the school of humanities and social science and a minor degree in psychological and behavioural science. She treasures every chance in supporting a child-centred learning environment in both community and school settings as she believes that learning is a crucial element for life. During her bachelor degree, she had experiences in holding summer camps and homework classes for children from the primary to secondary school level. Also, she has participated in a project implemented by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups aiming to raise adolescents’ awareness of mental health and whole-person development in Hong Kong. With all these experiences, she decided to join P.L.A.I. after graduation and further support children to be motivated to learn and achieve their full potential in an ideal learning environment.

Candy Chua, BSc in Psychology, RBT

​Candy was graduated from the Education University of Hong Kong, holding a bachelor’s degree in psychology. During her studies, she wanted to find a job related to children since they are not able to express their wants and needs thoroughly. She found a job that was data collection in a local kindergarten. Through 1 on 1 teaching, she tested children’s language and literacy levels, observing their responses and analyzing data for speculation. She was enthusiastic about interacting with children from different cultural backgrounds owing to their purity and innocence. Their smile and laugh motivate her to work. She joined P.L.A.I after graduation, aiming to assist children in emerging with mainstream schools and society and becoming independent people.

Andy Siu, BSc in Psychology, RBT

​Andy graduated from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During his university years, Andy had assist primary school teachers in teaching Maths and English for the young children who are bilingual and with special needs. This helped him to develop an interest and passion to pursue the field of students with special needs. Andy joined PLAI after graduating from the University of Michigan in summer 2021.

 Vincy Cheng, B.A. in Education, Culture and Childhood, RBT

Vincy graduated from The University of Sheffield (United Kingdom) in Bachelor of Arts in Education, Culture and Childhood. During her bachelor degree, she gained educational experience from different schools settings in the United Kingdom. She is committed to providing her students with an interesting and motivating learning environment that allows them to grow and develop. In her second year, she had a chance to work with children with special needs in nursery and primary school. Vincy believes that every child is unique, so if they cannot learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn. She joined P.L.A.I. after graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2018 with the mission of improving children's quality of life.
