Messages from my Beloved Families and Children
P.L.A.I.'s PBS Workshop Participant
Dianna’s workshop on Behavior Management really put the parents’ attitude on the spot. It makes me rethink how I should react to my children’s “problem behaviors.” React badly or prevent the bad behaviors from happening in the first place. I have sought punishments and reprimands cause I have overlooked the minimal efforts. We need to turn things around to stop this cycle of negativity.
I have used Positive Behavior Support for about a month. The sibling rivalries have lessened, but I don’t expect it to go away completely, but it is at a sanity level. Giving the children credits for their efforts to match their abilities counts no matter how small or insignificant it may be to parents because to them it is a huge leap, which would lead to bigger efforts the next time. And they also recognized those efforts themselves and they feel proud to have accomplished something. It is always nice to have someone to cheer you on than put you down.

From a mother who attended P.L.A.I.'s PBS Workshop
Being a working mum with young kids can be stressful at times. Lack of proper guidance on implementing positive Behaviour can also make this situation confusing.
Dianna's workshop on dealing with problem behaviour was highly informative and loaded with pratical tips. In Dianna's workshop subject matter was explained in simple language making the information easy to digest. Solving case study whilst the subject matter was being taught ensured me that subject was fully understood. Implementing course material at home was easy. Our family has benefitted from this short 4 hour course. Effects of which can be seen for years to come. Thank you Dianna.

From Kieran (A child I supported in the past)
Hi Dianna,
Thank you for making such a difference in the lives of children with autism! Kieran is 13 now, and would like to write you a little message:
I hope you are having a happy vacation. I see, Dianna. You have got yourself a haircut! I meant, you live there now. So, really, (or I believe) you are not taking a vacation after all. Now I get it! I miss you. Would you like to go to Calgary with me, Dianna? We saw a lot of fun things there!

Ms. Dianna Yip has worked as a Behavior Consultant for our family from 2007 to 2012. Ms. Yip has dedicated a lot of time and effort into her work. In less than a year duration, we already witnessed a significant improvement in our child's development. We are fortunate to have Ms. Yip's assistance during this crucial time in our child's development. We would like to thank Ms. Yip for her contribution.
Thank you,
